Meet Dom, the driving force behind Xploro. Inspired by his daughter's struggle with a rare bone cancer, when she was just thirteen, Dom set about changing the landscape for children’s health information.

A long history as an entrepreneur and tech disruptor places him perfectly to create Xploro and in doing so improve the experience of young patients facing serious health challenges.

Nancy Tinsley
Executive Chair

Say howdy to Nancy, our Executive Chair.

Nancy has held "President" roles in three healthcare systems as well as system-level executive roles where she led service line development, performance improvement, and strategic transformation.

Nancy brings her wealth of health system experience which ensures Xploro is aligned with both clinical and financial priorities. Nancy also leads Xploro's go-to-market strategy.

Holly Ward
Chief Operating Officer

Say hello to Holly, she gets things done. Holly’s background in digital healthcare, artificial intelligence and finance makes her the perfect person to manage the day-to-day operations of Xploro including financial, legal and regulatory compliance.

As if that wasn’t enough, Holly also volunteers for One Million Mentors, where she helps young adults with their professional goals and career path.

Nikki Stearman
Creative Director

Please give a high five to Nikki whose focus at Xploro is on creativity and user experience, ensuring the app is fun to play and reflects the needs of the young people using it.

She’s the proud winner of a BAFTA for a CBBC game she produced whilst working at the BBC, and a Kidscreen Award for her design work on a GoNoodle Games app which used a movement tracker to keep kids active.

Dave Woodhouse
Director of Engineering

Please welcome Dave, a seasoned software engineer with a penchant for creating immersive experiences in the medtech sector.

Fuelled by a profound interest in the intersection of technology and healthcare, Dave is particularly drawn to the medical and tech-for-good fields.

Dave’s role at Xploro involves contributing to the development of new features, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements for the app.

Russell Anderson
Lead Unity Developer

Say hola to Russell, Xploro’s Lead Unity Developer. He began coding as a kid when he got his hands on an Atari 2600 manual and immersed himself in programming.
Russell ran his own games studio before joining Xploro and outside work, he teaches game development actively encouraging the next generation of devs.

Russell often speaks about Unity development at industry events and, if he seems familiar, it might be you’ve seen him DJing in Ibiza.

Andras Serfozo
Lead Full-stack Developer

Meet Andras whose job it is to keep Xploro on its feet. He runs servers and databases, manages DevOps and keeps the API in tip-top condition. He’s the chap who makes sure Xploro continues communicating with our servers at all times.

Another big part of his job is managing portals for Xploro customers and admins.

Hoi Man Yuen
Unity Developer

Introducing Hoi Man, part of Xploro’s mighty Unity team. Hoi Man is an integral part of the creative team, responsible for developing features for the app.

He comes to us with a degree in computer science from The University of Hong Kong, experience in the mobile games industry, as well as having worked for a company making interactive, professional training content in virtual reality.

Kristaps Ločmelis
Technical 3D artist

Say hello to Xploro’s Technical 3D Artist, Kris.

Kris specializes in augmented reality, technical art, interactive educational products and animation. He has experience in video production, motion design and real-time projects and has also worked on a variety of multimedia projects and conducted mixed reality workshops at universities.

Kat Szemla
3D Artist

Say howdy to Kat, Xploro’s very own 3D superstar.

Kat began her career at a leading logistics company, where she specialized in creating realistic warehouse visualizations. Wanting more creative freedom led her to switch gears and become a proud member of the Xploro team where you’ll find her creating 3D digital assets and animations and pushing the boundaries of the Unity game engine’s capabilities. Richard Douglas
Script Writer

Say hi to Richard, the voice of Xploro. His role includes writing scripts for Xploro’s experiences, composing age-appropriate responses to thousands of chatbot questions, writing game instructions, information about healthcare staff, and even the names for avatars in the English-language version.
