Dom Raban

Meet Dom, the driving force behind Xploro. Inspired by his daughter's struggle with a rare bone cancer, when she was just thirteen, Dom set about changing the landscape for children’s health information.

A long history as an entrepreneur and tech disruptor places him perfectly to create Xploro and in doing so improve the experience of young patients facing serious health challenges.

Stefan Agamanolis
Chief Strategy Officer

Stefan heads up Xploro's US operations and he is pivotal to the innovation of our platform.

Stefan comes to Xploro with a a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has spent over a decade at Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio as Director of Patient Experience then, latterly, as Chief Innovation Officer. He also holds ongoing strategy and consultancy roles in medtech, research and entrepreneurship, and is a key player in our international team helping us develop and commercialize Xploro. Holly Ward
Chief Operating Officer

Say hello to Holly, she gets things done. Holly’s background in digital healthcare, artificial intelligence and finance makes her the perfect person to manage the day-to-day operations of Xploro including financial, legal and regulatory compliance.

As if that wasn’t enough, Holly also volunteers for One Million Mentors, where she helps young adults with their professional goals and career path.

Joe Kemp
Chief Technical Officer

This is Joe, Xploro’s technical wizard and strategist. He career has seen him pursue roles in simulation, games, electronics and the medical sector making him the perfect fit to lead our tech team.

Mike Tebbutt
Chief Financial Officer

Say hi to Mike, he manages the fiscal health of Xploro.

Mike has over 30 years’ international experience in major PLCs and industries including software/SaaS, computer games, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

Nikki Stearman
Creative Director

Please give a high five to Nikki whose focus at Xploro is on creativity and user experience, ensuring the app is fun to play and reflects the needs of the young people using it.

She’s the proud winner of a BAFTA for a CBBC game she produced whilst working at the BBC, and a Kidscreen Award for her design work on a GoNoodle Games app which used a movement tracker to keep kids active.

Kelvin Tavarez
Senior Growth Manager

This is Kelvin, our Madrid-based New Yorker who fills his days talking with healthcare organizations whose patients would benefit from using Xploro.

With a spotlight on the USA and Spanish markets, Kelvin is the guy who will show you what we’re made of and welcome you to the Xploro family. Richard Douglas
Script Writer

Say hi to Richard, the voice of Xploro. His role includes writing scripts for Xploro’s experiences, composing age-appropriate responses to thousands of chatbot questions, writing game instructions, information about healthcare staff, and even the names for avatars in the English-language version.

Dave Woodhouse
Lead Unity Developer

Please welcome Dave, a seasoned software engineer with a penchant for creating immersive experiences in the medtech sector.

Fuelled by a profound interest in the intersection of technology and healthcare, Dave is particularly drawn to the medical and tech-for-good fields.

Dave’s role at Xploro involves contributing to the development of new features, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements for the app.

Andras Serfozo
Lead Full-stack Developer

Meet Andras whose job it is to keep Xploro on its feet. He runs servers and databases, manages DevOps and keeps the API in tip-top condition. He’s the chap who makes sure Xploro continues communicating with our servers at all times.

Another big part of his job is managing portals for Xploro customers and admins.

Rudy Akar
Lead 3D Artist

Meet Rudy, our visual effects whizzkid and the mastermind behind Xploro’s look.

Rudy's role as Lead 3D Artist at Xploro finds him using skills honed in the film, virtual reality and gaming industries. He creates avatars and characters, assets and models, intricate environments, engaging experiences and VFX, all of which he implements seamlessly in the Unity pipeline to deliver Xploro’s unique and exceptional visual experience. Jack Kirk
QA Lead

This is Jack and his middle name is quality. It’s his job to ensure Xploro does exactly what it’s supposed to and offers an excellent experience to users.

Jack has worked on mobile games, and PC and console titles and is adept at both manual testing and the set up and management of automated testing.

As you’d expect, Jack is an avid gamer, but he also loves the great outdoors and gardening.

Patryk Stachowiak
Unity Developer

Introducing Patryk, Xploro’s Unity guy. He’s the one we go to when we want to develop and implement amazing new features into the Xploro app.

He uses his background in computer science and game development, his Unity experience and programming skills to create engaging and educational content for kids undergoing medical treatment.

Hoi Man Yuen
Unity Developer

Introducing Hoi Man, part of Xploro’s mighty Unity team. Hoi Man is an integral part of the creative team, responsible for developing features for the app.

He comes to us with a degree in computer science from The University of Hong Kong, experience in the mobile games industry, as well as having worked for a company making interactive, professional training content in virtual reality.

Kat Szemla
3D Artist

Say howdy to Kat, Xploro’s very own 3D superstar.

Kat began her career at a leading logistics company, where she specialized in creating realistic warehouse visualizations. Wanting more creative freedom led her to switch gears and become a proud member of the Xploro team where you’ll find her creating 3D digital assets and animations and pushing the boundaries of the Unity game engine’s capabilities.
