Team and advisors

Xploro’s team come together from around the world to deliver a level of excellence and a wealth of experience you’d struggle to find anywhere else.

Their enthusiasm and vision makes Xploro tick and they deliver a sprinkle of magic across everything we do.

A key part of the Xploro family is our Expert Advisory Board which comprises an exceptional group of youngsters who tell us exactly what they think of our app and share ideas for new features and games.

Evan

I was born in 2008

I have had all sorts of tests in hospital, like MRI scans, heart tracers and blood tests.

In my spare time I enjoy gaming and coding.

I am part of the Advisory Board as I think information to young people coming to hospital needs to be better. I like seeing the games develop and being involved in making them as good as possible.

Emmie

I was born in 2009.

I've spent lots of time in hospital. I was treated in Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in 2017 - 2019 for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

In my spare time I enjoy make up and beauty and travelling to new and interesting places .

I have been part of the Xploro Advisory Board since 2018, I enjoy improving hospital stays for other children and young people. I like that Xploro values mine and the other expert advisors' opinions.

Charlotte

I was born in 2016.

When I was three, I went into hospital because I kept getting really bad headaches. The doctors tried to put me in a machine to take pictures of the inside of my head but I really, really didn’t like it! In the end they had to put me to sleep so they could take a picture of the inside of my head in something called an MRI machine. I also had an EEG and blood tests. Luckily after the doctors gave me some medicine, I was fine and I don’t get headaches anymore.

I love going to water-parks, theme parks and parties and playing with my cat Samson and my hamster Stripey.

I wanted to be an Xploro Expert Advisory Board member to help other children like me.

Harriett

I was born in 2016.

I went into hospital because I had a poorly tummy and I went in a machine so the doctors could take a picture of the inside of my tummy. I also had a blood test.

I love spending time with my friends and family and going to theme parks, swimming and gymnastics.

I love being a member of the Xploro Expert Advisory Board so I can help other children like me who have to go into hospital for tests.

Nailani

I was born in 2014

When I was born my heart wasn’t working very well, one of the sides of my heart didn’t grow properly so I needed to stay warm or my lips will turn BLUE!!! I needed to have 3 heart surgeries to help me.

In my spare time I like texting my friends, making bracelets, playing with my lil sis and baking.

Because I have spent a lot of time in hospitals I actually love having blood tests! (But I know lots of kids don’t.) The reason why I enjoy being part of the Xploro Expert Advisory Board team is because I like the games and I like the online meetings. Hopefully I can help others not be scared of hospitals.

Malachi

I was born in 2011

I’ve only been in hospital for short visits, but watching my sister go through many surgeries has given me a unique perspective on hospital visits from the other side.

I love drawing, animating and creating music in my spare time. Anything tech has my attention!

I hope that my love for coding and gaming can help contribute to Xploro in a positive way, by helping others have a fun experience even at a hard time for them.

Jad

I was born in 2010

I have been in the hospital for bone cancer (osteosarcoma) and Kawasaki disease with means I have had a lot of X-rays, cat scans, MRI scans, blood test and surgery’s.

In my spare time I like gaming, building Lego and biking.

I enjoy being a member of the Expert Advisory Board because I really love technology and games. I also love it because I know it will make it easier for kids that are going through the same thing I did, have an easier time knowing what is happening and have a lot calmer of a time.

Jenine

I was born in 2010.

I've been in hospital for a couple of minor issues, but fortunately I was in and out the same day.

During my spare time I enjoy filming and editing, and when the weather allows, I love being outdoors. I am also a hockey player and spend a lot on time in the rinks!

Having experienced my cousin's cancer journey with him, I know Xploro will help children through their experiences and I’m excited to be a part of that.
